Professional Development Committee is charged with scheduling speakers for each monthly meeting to provide continuing professional education (CPE) to members. The speakers provide the members with technical lectures on current accounting topics, current corporate and individual tax updates, personal career enhancement, small business issues, managing investments and other accounting related issues. Each monthly meeting lecture is intended to help members who are certified as public accountants, management accountants, internal auditors, or fraud examiner to earn their required CPE credit hours.
The lectures are also intended to provide the general membership the opportunities to expand their knowledge base. This committee is responsible for the following tasks:
- Preparing and distributing certificates for CPE credit
